Supervisory Safety Occupational Health Manager with Security Clearance

Dutieso Conduct surveys, inspections, and staff assistance visits throughout a regional area to ensure safety and occupational health standards are being properly implemented and enforced.
o Investigate notices of unsafe or unhealthy working conditions and takes appropriate actions.
o Provide specialized safety consulting services to unit commanders, staff, and personnel.
o Initiate written procedures implementing technical safety standards, codes, and safety requirements for a variety of operations and activities.
o Inspect or survey workplaces, processes, products, or other systems for compliance with established safety and occupational health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards.
o Brief contract workers regarding hospital safety and life safety regulations.
o Provide oversight, guidance, and supervision of assigned subordinates within the Safety/Life Safety Division.
o Delegate responsibility to subordinates, reviews their work and provides guidance and assistance on technical and administrative mattersRequirements Conditions of Employmento Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
o This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Experience:
I have one year of specialized experience which includes work that involve the management, administration, or operation of a safety and occupational health program or performance of administrative work concerned with safety and occupational health activities such as conducting safety and occupational health inspections of a health center or medical support facilities to identify and recommend control measures for hazardous conditions; correcting deficiencies found during safety inspections by representatives of the national safety organizations and ensuring compliance with national safety standards such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA and/or American Hospital Association (AHA)This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualifyFor this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permittedYou will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
