Our ideal person will have exceptional customer service skills and should be prepared to work as either Receptionist or a Veterinary Assistant depending on the patient flow of the hospital.
These positions requires that you be able to listen accurately, speak clearly & be able to write legibly.
A positive attitude is essential as you interact in a professional, friendly manner with both clients and staff.
Veterinary Assistants assist in the smooth operation of the hospital by performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
Anticipate the needs of the veterinarian for routine exams/surgical visits Take accurate notes, medical history of patients in exam rooms for doctors Take patient temperatures, samples, vitals, draw up vaccines, fill or refill medications, etc.
as requested by doctor Assist Licensed Veterinary Technicians in exams, performing in-house treatments, tests, radiographs (including dental radiographs) and other duties as requested Assist in restraining pets in a manner that allows necessary procedures to be done with minimal stress to patients.
Lift and carry pets and supplies weighing up to 40# unassisted Clean, restock exam rooms, surgical suites, kennel area & perform other duties as requested The Receptionist position is critical to the overall operation of the hospital.
This position requires extraordinary customer service skills & the ability to multi-task.
Because you will work in an upbeat, fast-paced environment you should be able to:
Greet persons in person, answer phones, schedule appointments, accept payments while maintaining a positive helpful attitude.
Be calm and comfortable around animals and people in stressful situations.
Schedule appointments, accept payments Listen, follow directions and accurately relay information to staff and pet owners Curiosity, a willingness to learn new things and a sense of humor is appreciated.
Punctuality and reliability are essential.
Our normal schedule is Mon - Friday 7:
30 am to 6 pm and Saturday 7:
30 am- 1pm.
In fairness to all staff, we rotate an occasional Saturday (or Sunday as needed.
) Flexibility with days/hours is a must Job Types:
