Operation Supervisor
OVERVIEWSupervise assigned Operators and the Dispatch functions; respond to accidents, passenger incidents and vehicle mechanical problems.
Conduct studies or projects as needed and will participate in hiring.
Operating hours are from 3:
00 am - 9:
45 pm Monday through Friday and 7:
00 am - 8:
00 pm on Saturdays with the expectation of Sunday service to being in 2024.
Work is conducted based on the schedule assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS& ENTRY REQUIREMENTSo At least two years of experience driving a vehicle requiring a Class B CDL with airbrakes and passenger endorsements OR at least two years of experience as a behind-the-wheel CDL instructor for vehicles requiring a Class B CDL with airbrakes and passenger endorsements or greater.
o Three (3) years of increasingly responsible transit operations experience including one (1) year of lead work and/or supervisory experienceo Work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and any shift.
o Must pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
o Must possess a valid Class B CDL with airbrake restriction removed and passenger endorsements and have an excellent driving recordo High-school graduation and three years of increasingly responsible transit operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESo Serves as a liaison between passengers and the agencyo Ensures staff training on scheduling and dispatch softwareo Investigates and responds to services discrepancies or procedural problemso Makes recommendations for improvements in operationso Collects and analyzes data for reporting purposeso Reviews and provides input for updates to various agency manuals, guides, policies and procedureso Initiates corrective and/or disciplinary actions
