The purpose of this position is to work within the Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction (DSFC) to provide technical assistance to Tribes in the Operation and Maintenance (O&M;) of sanitation facilities. In this role, the technical assistance is provided to Tribes who have the responsibility for operation and maintenance for their sanitation facilities infrastructure. The position enables the Office of Environmental Health and Engineering and DSFC to provide consulting and technical assistance services to the Tribes, as they carry out and uphold their O&M; responsibilities associated with public water systems regulated by the U.S. EPA under the Safe Drinking Water Act. Depending on available funding, the position may also involve providing technical assistance to Tribes on compliance with requirements of Class V underground injection well requirements, which is also associated with the Safe Drinking Water Act, as it involves protecting underground sources of drinking water from contamination. The position reports to the District Engineer.

For this position, you will perform the following duties:
Provide direct regulatory compliance and technical assistance to sanitation facility utility organization.
Plan, implement, and report outcomes from sanitation facility utility organization capacity development activities.
Organize, facilitate, and or provide education and training relating to utility organization regulatory compliance and capacity development.
Coordinate and collaborate on utility organization development and regulatory compliance assurance activities with multiple entities including tribes, government agencies, and other service organizations that provide similar or complimentary services.
Manage, maintain and make readily available data and information generated by program activities.

Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector.
GS-09: Specialized experience is defined as: experience that demonstrates applicant's knowledge and experience in involving domestic, storm, and industrial wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal facilities; involving refuse, solid, and hazardous waste collection and disposal systems; and involving water supply, treatment, and distribution systems.
GS-11: Specialized experience is defined as: experience that demonstrates applicant's knowledge of of public health, environmental sanitation, and engineering concepts, princiuples, and practices applicable to plan, organize, and administer operation and maintenance activities for water, sewer, and solid waste system, including operation of sanitation facility utility organization that includes governance, asset management, staffing, budgeting and rate setting.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
