JOB SUMMARY:

The Versant Registered Nurse Residency Program is an 18 week orientation designed to help the new RN graduate make a smooth transition from student to professional member of our health-care team. Residents receive classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience under the mentorship of an experienced RN. The Nurse Residency Program is tailored to the skills and knowledge requirements of the unit in which nurses are hired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Complete competencies as listed on the hospital and unit based competency skills checklist

Demonstrates knowledge of, and ability to perform basic clinical skills specific to area of practice

Completes all assigned training classes

Understands and demonstrates RN Scope of Practice

Delivers safe and effective patient care

Assume care and prioritize appropriately for a group of patients with average acuity for patient unit

Independently performs basic clinical skills specific to area of practice

Perform basic and systematic nursing assessment (including health history, patient perceptions/exceptions, psychosocial, education, spiritual, discharge needs) of patients with uncomplicated medical problems

Documents all patient care and outcomes of interventions in patients Medical Record per Harrison Medical Center s standards

Qualification:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • New graduate RNs or RNs with less than 6 months of acute care experience that have graduated with a nursing degree within the past 9 months, BSN preferred.
  • Additional education, certification & current education enrollment may substitute for a Bachelors Degree.
  • Licensure as a Washington State RN as a basic level of competency
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association.
  • ACLS/PALS preferred but not required based on area of assignment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
